It's so very easy to rush through December in the hustle and bustle, but I want to consciously try to sloooowwww down. We have a lot going on right now and my mind seems to be going 5,000,000 miles an hour. But, I encourage everyone to not forget just what we are celebrating. Zero in on our Saviors birth. I want to frequently sit down with my busy, busy three year old and talk to her about this. She gets babies, and loves birthdays. This is a fun one to explain to her. It catches her interest. It also helps that we have a visual of a little baby living with us. As a Stay at home mama, I can put as much effort as I want into helping her learn about this time of year and what it means. I WANT to put a lot of effort into this.
So, this blog post is my official promise to myself to work on slowing down and teaching. Try to focus on one thing vs 1 million. Prayers are ALWAYS welcome.
Some other things going on:
- Emmett is four months old. CRAZY!!!
- Addyson can write the letter Aa and number 1
- I love snow. (If it's gonna be cold out, there may as well be snow)
- My husband and I are in the middle of an on-going UNO tournament.
- Emmett is rolling from back to belly like a pro.
- Addyson is obsessed with her Fluttershy she made at Build-a-bear. (Credit to Aunt/Cousin Catie!)
- Young Living Essential oils still ROCK.
That is all for now!
